Careers at TPP

What our staff say

What's it like working for TPP? Hear from some of our consultants below...

Donovan Whittaker, Senior Consultant

What did you do before joining TPP?
Prior to joining TPP I had my first foray into the world of recruitment, working as a Recruitment Consultant for a year and a half.

Why did you choose to join TPP?
I wanted to join a specialist agency and they branded themselves as that for the not for profit sector...they weren't kidding. The amount I have learnt and how I have developed as a Consultant has far exceeded my expectations. This in my opinion has been made possible by the wealth of experience in the company at multiple levels and the encouraged collaborative environment. When TPP says it knows the sector, it is because it does!

What’s the best thing about your job?
The consistent positive feedback from both my clients and candidates. My LinkedIn page is a real testament to just how rewarding this job can be. The work environment is also one that provides you everything you need to excel professionally and financially.

What’s the achievement you are most proud of?
Being promoted to Senior Consultant

What’s the best thing about your job?
The team! Everyone at TPP is very supportive, friendly and always there to help when needed. Oh and the commission isn't too bad either....

What’s the achievement you are most proud of?
Graduating from the trainee scheme in Sept 2016 and being promoted to Senior Consultant after my first full year on the desk.

Kate Maunder, Divisional Manager, TPP MarComms & Digital

I worked on Celebrity Cruises selling fine jewellery

Why did you choose to join TPP?
I started TPP as a temporary receptionist when I came back from travelling and found the charity sector really interesting.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Speaking to people. I enjoy building long-term relationships with clients and candidates and being able to make a difference to their careers and organisations.

What’s the achievement you are most proud of?
Completing TPP’s trainee scheme I have continued to develop my skills and have progressed through the years achieving the role of Divisional Manager.  Having the opportunity to lead and mentor a team whilst placing some fantastic candidates into their dream roles.

Samantha Johnston, Divisional Manager, TPP Education & Training

What did you do before joining TPP?
I worked in recruitment for 2 and half years before taking a 2 year break to travel the world.

Why did you choose to join TPP?
I wanted to join a recruitment company that had a ‘grown up’ culture where I have the autonomy to run my own desk.  TPP came across as a fun, friendly place to work where everyone genuinely wants to see you succeed.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Quarterly lunches when you hit target!  Afternoon off work, delicious food and plenty of wine!

What’s the achievement you are most proud of?
Winning an Innovation competition, for my suggestions on the Leadership Academy that has been implemented. I am very proud of getting the support and backing from TPP's senior leadership team to head up a new Higher Education team focusing on education and support staff.
